How To Determine Number of Steps Needed?

Measure from the top of the trailer tongue/frame directly vertical to the top edge/rub rail of the boat. This is your rise which corresponds to the recommended number of steps.

    Good steps….needs a little attention

    The steps themselves are quite nice. The hardware for mounting to the winch support was very poor. Three of the four 7/16” x 5” hex cap screws and nylon nuts bound up and could not be forwarded or reversed when trying to **** together. I ended up cutting them off and replacing with quality hex cap screws. The assembly that holds the steps themselves are drilled to a tolerance that does not allow the screws to slide in or out. One must **** them into the holes and use a hammer to get them through. The nylon insert nut ultimately pulls the fasteners on through. The holes just need another 1/64” or 1/32” increase in size. I like the steps, they were just a nightmare to get installed due to the problems mentioned above.

    I ordered the 5 step for our new Chaparral but unfortunately after anyone reaches step number 3 they start to twist.
