Stainless steel lock nuts replace some of the traditional nuts used for mounting. Special socket tool provided to install.

The steps fit and work perfectly, everything about them is just right. However, I'm not crazy about the tamper proof nuts, it's almost impossible to tighten them as tight as they should be without stripping tamper proof part..
I received my steps very timely. Impressed with the packaging. Installation went a little more difficult then I exspected. I had to raise my winch about a quarter of n inch in order to have room to attach the bracket on the winch post. I had to go get some addition washers to bolt the bracket on because the bolts were a little long and the nut bottomed out on the treads before the bracket was tight on the winch post. The powder coating on the bracket was ver poor. the coating cracket off where the bolts tighten. Just touching the bracking with a wrench put a chip in the coating. Hopefully the steps dont do the same when touched with something in the future.

I’ve been using these steps for a couple weeks and they have been great. Getting in and out of the boat is easier and safer. Plus it took less than an hour to install.
I love it. I am 72 years and getting on my boat was getting difficult but now there are no problems.allowing me to service my boat and becoming a boater again.I have also let my friends try them out
